Football Corner FC marks 10 years of passion and unity this weekend

Football lovers and members of Football Corner FC, one of Cameroon’s most vibrant football communities, will gather on Saturday, July 11, 2026, to celebrate the group’s 10th anniversary with a day-long programme blending football, fellowship and reflection.

Led by its president Kadji Valery, Football Corner FC has evolved over the past decade from an online football discussion platform into a close-knit community of football stakeholders, administrators, supporters and enthusiasts united by their passion for the game.

The anniversary celebrations will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the arrival of members at the guest house before proceeding to FUT Arena, Logbessou, beside the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall, where a novelty match dubbed “Eto’o Fans vs Eto’o Critics” will kick off at 11:30 a.m. The friendly encounter is expected to provide entertainment and lively football banter among members.

Following the match, members will reconvene at the guest house at 2:30 p.m. for a general meeting to discuss the group’s future, share ideas and further strengthen the unity that has defined Football Corner FC since its creation. Members unable to attend physically will be able to participate virtually.

The evening programme will feature a White Party beginning at 5:00 p.m., followed by dinner, speeches from the group’s leadership, the ceremonial popping of champagne and a night of barbecue, drinks, music and celebration.

Over the years, Football Corner FC has brought together several prominent personalities in Cameroonian football. Among its notable members are ISOHSA President Karl Mokake, popularly known as “Cannavaro”, former Buea United team manager Ngu Gaston, passionate PWD of Bamenda supporters Frank Gapo and Nweboh Valery, Hanesh of Mankon United, and Bleck of YOSA, alongside many other respected football administrators, club officials and supporters.

The anniversary celebrations have also attracted support from several partners, including AKMAN Architects & Cabinet, B-Estates (Land & Real Estate Banking) and Trek Mount Cameroon, reflecting a shared commitment to community initiatives centred on football.

Under the theme “Together We Build. Together We Win,” Football Corner FC’s 10th anniversary promises to be more than a celebration of football. It will serve as a tribute to a decade of friendship, healthy football debates and the enduring relationships forged through a shared love of the beautiful game.
