Dynamo de Douala returned to winning ways in the Cameroon Elite One Championship with an impressive 3-1 victory over Gazelle FA in their Advanced Day Four fixture at the Stade de Bonamoussadi.
The Douala-based outfit produced a commanding performance, taking control of proceedings in the opening half through Ulrich Mpeck and Noé Timba. Mpeck broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute before Timba doubled Dynamo’s advantage just seven minutes later, leaving Gazelle with a difficult task heading into the interval.
Gazelle FA attempted to fight their way back into the contest, with Marcel Fobang finding the net to give the visitors a lifeline. However, Dynamo remained determined to protect their advantage and continued to threaten going forward.
Alexandre Nde eventually put the result beyond doubt in the 84th minute, restoring Dynamo’s two-goal cushion and sealing an important 3-1 victory in front of their home supporters.
The result represents a valuable boost for Dynamo as the Elite One campaign gathers momentum. For Gazelle FA, meanwhile, the defeat will be a setback as they look to regain consistency in Cameroon’s top-flight championship.
