There’s a newfound spirit of peace and serenity in the Indomitable Lions camp at least going by evidence of photos filtering from the team camp this Monday, October 7.
For the first time since Marc Peter Brys became coach of the Cameroon, the players arrived camp without the regular pushing and pulling between camps and the incorporated staff was seen in a huddle at the Ngoa Ekelle stadium in Yaoundé.
As if the huddle and photos of coaches chatting in a jovial manner wasn’t enough the players moved directly into their base at the Hilton Hotel and there was no second hotel or bus for the team.
The extended team staff crew trained the ten players available after holding a preparatory meeting chaired by Marc Brys.
This newfound momentum could be the catalyst of good moments for the Cameroon team already playing catch up to Kenya.
Kenya currently sits atop Group J after securing a 2-1 victory over Namibia, while Cameroon trails closely in second place, level on points.
The Indomitable Lions will have a chance to shift the momentum when they host Kenya on October 7, before jetting off to Uganda for the crucial reverse fixture on October 15.
The stakes are high, and the excitement is building as these two teams gear up for what promises to be an electrifying encounter!.
