2023 U-17 AFCON: Nigeria, and Cameroon get group opponents

Five-time World Champions, Nigeria have been drawn in Group B of 2023 U-17 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The Nigerian U-17 team (Golden Eaglets) will face Morocco, South Africa, and Zambia in Group B.

Group B teams will play their games in Constantine, Algeria.

The team is slated to face Zambia next weekend in a friendly match ahead of the draw.

The friendly encounter will now serve as preparatory ground ahead of the Nigeria and Zambia Group B clash.

Host, Algeria will meet Senegal, Congo, and Somalia in Group A.

Cameroon as the top-seeded team in Group C will tackle Mali, Burkina Faso, and South Africa.

The top four teams at the end of the tournament will qualify for FIFA U-17 World Cup in Indonesia.
