Monday, May 15 – Faustin Blaise Mbida, the Secretary General of the Cameroon Professional Football Transitional Technical Committee (CTFP) has confirmed Yong Sports Academy (YOSA) of Bamenda will face Eding Sport de la Lekie in their relegation play-off fixture after Djiko FC of Bandjoun were relegated.
Djiko FC dropped from the relegation play-off ninth position to the tenth spot, amounting to direct relegation after Avion Academy won their appeal against UMS and benefited three points.
YOSA and Eding Sport have been briefed on the adjustment and related details about the fixture to decide the fifth club to be relegated this season.
CTFP sources say the game is expected to be played on Friday May 19 at the Bonamoussadi stadium.
So far, YAFOOT FC, Dragon of Yaounde, Djiko FC and Renaissance FC of Ngoumou have been relegated to Elite 2 while waiting for a fifth side to be produced by Friday’s fixture.
In the meantime, kick442.com has learned that Djiko FC of Bandjoun has opted to drag CTFP and the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) to justice due to the decision.
