The President of Yong Sports Academy of Bamenda, Yong Francis Afumbom Jnr, has sent out a heart warming message to supporters, partners and all those who contributed in one way or the other to keep YOSA in the Elite One championship.

Yong Sports Academy of Bamenda defeated Eding Sports of Lekie 0#2 at the Bonamousadi stadium in Douala to secure their place in the championship next football season.

In his message addressed to the supporters, President Yong Francis Afumbom noted that the supporters played an incredible role in the relegation battle.

“Your unflinching support kept us in the Elite One championship. THANK YOU very much”, he said.

For the last matches of the season, YOSA management through its emblematic vice president Chido Chi Mitterrand put at the disposal of the fans buses that transported supporters to Mbouda, Yaounde and Douala; a move that galvanized the players.

Despite playing away from the comfort of Bamenda, YOSA President revealed that lessons have been learnt.

“We played away from home for yet another season and the odds were against us. Lessons have been learnt from our shortcomings and next season will be that of joy”, he noted.

In the letter, President Yong Francis Afumbom disclosed that preparations for next season has already started.

He also appreciated their partners PCHS Bamenda and National Polytechnic Bamenda, the media, and the players.
