Cameroon head coach Marc Brys has confirmed his starting XI for Wednesday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Mauritius, with Andre Onana—now of Trabzonspor—leading the Indomitable Lions at the Cote d’Or National Sports Complex in Saint Louis.

Onana starts behind a defence made up of Jackson Tchatchoua, Michael Ngadeu, Naguida Aboubakar, and Nouhou Tolo, as Cameroon look to tighten their hold on second place in Group D.

In midfield, Carlos Baleba and Arthur Avom combine energy and creativity, while up front veteran forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting makes his first start for Cameroon since the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The 35-year-old, who has been enjoying a strong revival in Major League Soccer, scored his first international goal against Mauritius early in his Cameroon career. His inclusion adds experience to an attack also featuring Moumi Ngamaleu, Georges-Kévin Nkoudou, and teenage debutant Karl Etta Eyong.

Cameroon enter the fixture on 15 points, four behind Group D leaders Cape Verde, following a narrow 1–0 defeat in Praia in September.

Substitutes: Omossola, Epassy, Vincent Aboubakar, Namaso, Frank Magri, Junior Kotto, Junior Tchamadeu, Bryan Mbeumo, Zambo Anguissa, Jean-Charles Castelletto.

Mauritius, already eliminated, will look to finish their campaign on a high at home, while Cameroon aim for a vital victory to keep their World Cup qualification hopes alive.
