A rampant 5#0 victory for Vipers over Busoga United on Saturday evening saw Vipers SC retain the Uganda Premier league Championship.

It was drama on the final day as the venoms snatched it late after SC Villa bottled out at the needed stage of the season in 1#0 defeat to URA FC.

Coming into the final day ,SC Villa were top of the log ,followed by Vipers and run away favorites KCCA FC.

Goals from Lawal (brace), Yunus Ssentamu ,Martin Kiiza and Anukani saw the venoms seal the title on a better goal difference ahead of second placed KCCA FC.

In Lugogo, KCCA FC put 5 goals past Bright Stars that wasn’t enough to match Viper’s figures.

It’s the sixth record championship in the venoms club history and second in a row.

Vipers now have qualified for next season’s CAF Champions league competition.
