Uganda champions Vipers will hope to complete a league double when they play Police FC in the finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

The venoms stormed the finals after a 4-1 aggregate win over UPL side Bright Stars despite losing the return leg on Tuesday evening.

Alex Iabirye’s side meet a tricky side which trades currently in the FUFA Big League. The Cops eliminated Adjumani to reach the finals.

This will be the third consecutive Cup final Vipers are in. In 2022 they lost 3-1 to Bul as their dream double was shattered.

The venoms come into Saturday’s final game with motivation to elude the past memories that transpired at Booma grounds last year.

Vipers are currently guided by the same tactician Isabirye who won Bul their first ever Uganda Cup trophy and holds 3 titles to his name in this competition.

The closing ceremony of the Uganda Cup finals will be at Akii-Bua Memorial Stadium ,Lira.
