2013 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) winner with the Nigeria senior men’s national team, Vincent Enyeama is set to join the team for the next AFCON.

In a post on his social media handle, Enyeama stated that he will be going to the AFCON with the three-time African champions.

“Let’s gooooo! See you in camp. Time for business,” He posted.

A video also surfaced on social media with Enyeama joining the Nigerian team camp and being ready to depart for the Abu Dhabi camp.

The Super Eagles have been having a goalkeeping crisis recently including the first-choice goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho struggling to keep clean sheets.

Uzoho has been the subject of criticism for conceding cheap goals.

Chippa United goalie, Stanley Nwabali is expected to give Uzoho a fight for the first-choice goalkeeping role alongside Enyimba’s Olorunleke Ojo.

This can be attributed to the presence of Enyeama in the team camp to serve as a source of motivation and bring his experience into bear on the goalkeepers.

The former Lille goalkeeper played 632 career games, scoring 20 goals with 10 trophies.

The 41-year-old played for Enyimba, Iwuanyanwu National (Heartland FC), Bnei Yehuda, and Hapoel Tel-Aviv during his active years.
