Indomitable Lions of Cameroon and Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia forward Vincent Aboubakar has has agreed to join Besiktas of Turkey on a two-and-a-half year deal for an undisclosed fee.

We understand Aboubakar will earn €3.5 millions per year during his time at the club thus bringing an end to his time in Saudi Arabia.

The Cameroon international joined Al Nassr just over a year ago from FC Porto on a three-year deal and scored 12 goals in 34 games during his time at Al Nassr.

Aboubakar, 30, scorer of four goals in eight games this season, Aboubakar’s market value stands at €6millions which is peanut for some of the big spenders in the market but Besiktas succeeded to convince him.

Our understanding is that Aboubakar is ready to accept less than his market value because the former Valenciennes and FC Lorient goal poacher wants to return to central Europe where he needs no introduction.

Besiktas who benefited from Aboubakar’s goals during two loan spells to win the Turkish Super League have him back in Istanbul.
