Internal conflict and lack of players license are  some the reasons accounting for the non respect of the Matchday one fixture of the Guinness Super League encounter in Yaounde, pitting Canon Yaounde against Eding Lekie ladies, on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at the Olembe Annex A stadium.

After both actors had finished their traditional warm up session at the Olembe Annex A stadium, the Lekie ladies presented themselves upon the call of the central referee. The kpwa kum ladies present on the pitch couldn’t play, due to the non availability of their license.

However, present in the stadium were two factions of Canon, that led by former Indomitable lion Emmanuel Mve and that of Noah.With both parties creating at atmosphere of chaos, as they all wanted to play.

Speaking to the press Chartelain Nkono, a member of the recognized Canon Yde team, had the following worrisome declarations;

“l decry this type of unprofessional attitude displayed by some officials of the Cameroon Football Federation. I don’t understand how till now our players are here and can’t play because of issues of license, blocked by a group of persons at the FA with the accomplice of some unrecognized persons claiming to be leaders of another Canon Ladies”.

“I respect President Emmanuel Mve, and as a son, l had once invited him to me,so as one we could join our heads and efforts together in making Canon the best of its kind. But, am surprised that he had gone as far as contributing to the destruction and division of the club, by creating another faction of Canon”, He added.

” The issue of license is not a topic, to be discussed today. We had applied for these documents at the right time, as indicated by the Federation. But a gang of mafia want to destroy, what has taken us a long time to construct”,Nkono concluded.

As of now, no forfeit has been pronounced regarding the non unfolding of the encounter. But, the competent legal commission will sit and decide on the case, in the upcoming weeks.
