Daviella Willemine Padou was voted Woman of the match by the UNIFFAC statistics and performance team after a great display against Cameroon.

Cameroon defeated the Central African Republic 2-0 on Tuesday, in the Women’s U-20 UNIFFAC opener, but CAR’s Willemine scooped the prestigious individual woman of the match award.

Still into academy football, Willemine showed flashes of brilliance and received verbal recognition from fans, who by the way, were constituted mostly by Cameroonians.

The forward made great runs and always played on the shoulders of defenders but for some reason, her teammates did not put the ball into spaces.

Willemine was so good that Hassan Balla had to tweak the defensive shape more than twice, so as to find defenders that could accommodate her genius.

Daviella and her teammates will play the last game of the competition on Thursday against CAR, as they watch Cameroon against Congo republic from the stands. CAR’s chances to lift the trophy are very slim after a game day 1 defeat, but not impossible
