U17 AFCON:Yondjo, Arouna wrap up Cameroon’s preparations in style

A 2-1 win over Étoile Sportive de Sahel on Monday April 24, wrapped up team Cameroon’s preparations for the forthcoming U17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Algeria.

Goals from Yondjo Matah and Arouna Djibrine helped maintain the teams eight games unbeaten run.

Prior to this , the boys of Serge Mimpo had neutralised club African on a 3-2 scoreline, seeing off Esperance de Tunise one-nil.

These three preparatory games in Tunisia, adds to the five played at home. In all eight games, 25 goals were scored, conceded seven.

Dipanda Esono and co are expected to jet off to Algeria on Thursday.

The U17 AFCON opens on Saturday April 19, with Cameroon set to play her opener against south Sudan on the first day of May.
