Ugandan athletes Geoffrey Kusuro and Doreen Chesang emerged gold medalists each, in the men’s and women’s category of the Spanish Marathon held on April, 23 in Madrid.
Geoffrey Kusuro claimed the first place in the men’s category of the Madrid Marathon dubbled “Zurich Rock”, with the following records 2:10:29.
Geoffrey battled hard to overtaken Kenyan-born Sila Kiptoo and Bernard Kimkembi, who finished on the second and third place.
In the women’s category, Doreen Chesang took the helm of the race, finishing on the first spot with 2:26:31.
Behind her came Ethiopian, Fataye Tsegaye on second position with 2:32:18.Followed by Marta Galimany from Spain on 2:37:47.
