A few weeks after terminating his contract with Lierse K, in the Challenge Pro League, Serge Tabekou has signed for Qingdao Hainiu, in the Chinese first division.
After scoring 7 goals and providing 5 assists in the current season in Belgium, the 26-year-old Cameroonian international will now lend his services to the newly promoted Chinese Super League.
The former Apejes de Mfou, striker spend most of his career in Belgium and last year in Turkey.
Tabekou dropped his bags at La Gantoise in 2014/2015. And was crowned Belgian champion the same season, and will then lift the Belgian Super Cup in 2016. He will do a freelance job in Sedan in France before returning, to Belgium where he will alternately lend his services to OH Leuven, Saint Gilloise and Mouscron.
He will try an adventure in Turkey at Manisa FK before, returning to Lierse Kempenzonnen and then flying to China.
Tabekou made his debut with the Cameroon national team, in a friendly 0-0 tie with Japan on 9 October 2020.
