Historic Cameroonian club TKC of Yaounde have been relegated from the second tier championship following Rangers of Bafut’s 2-0 win against FAP on Wednesday, April 18 in match day 22 of the MTN Elite 2 championship, kick442.com can confirm.

The five-time champions of Cameroon and CAF Champions League winners suffered their 11th defeat in 22 games last weekend against FAP but were hoping to still catch Rangers in the relegation battle.

Unfortunately Rangers beat FAP to open an uncatchable points gap thus amounting to another relegation a season after they descended from the top-flight championship.

With five wins and just 21 points and two games left TKC can’t catch Rangers who are the first side outside the drop zone with 30 points to their credit.

The relegation means joins OFTA of Kribi in the journey to their respective regional championships.

The third club to be relegated will be determined through the remaining round of matches to be played this weekend and next week.

At the other end of the table, Victoria United FC secured promotion and the title as the Limbe side returned to the top-flight championship after their 2-0 win against Aigle Royal of Moungo on Wednesday in Limbe.
