Thousands of young footballers knock at ANAFOOT doors in Garoua

Thousands of young footballers of both sexes,have been knocking at the doors of the National Football Academy, as part of the sixth nationwide talent detection campaign.

The huge turn out of October 13,took place under the watchful eyes of the General Manager of the National Football Academy, Carl Enow Ngachu in Garoua, chief town of the North region.

 

The young ANAFOOT aspirants came from some Garoua-based primary, government schools and colleges.

 

The future elite football learners, whose ages range from 8 and 16,undergoing the pre-selection tests have harnessed the spirit of becoming great footballers, to the likes of Nchout Njoya Adjara, Vincent Aboubakar, Karl Toko Ekambi and Maxime Choupo Moting.

 

Speaking in Garoua at the Cenajes pitch, ANAFOOT’s GM said;

 

“The Northern region is endowed with a cast of talented footballers of both sexes. ANAFOOT is proud to have produced a prolific player, by name Moubarack today plying his trade with the Elite One side APEJES of Mfou.l want to assure you that, in the next two years, the young boy will be an irresistible goal poacher for many clubs. We are out to get the best talent for our academy.”

 

“At the end of the selection phase, it is only the most outstanding that would be taken”, Enow Ngachu said.

 

It is worthy of note that, at the end of the North detection campaign, only fifty players( 25 boys and 25 girls) shall be selected, to compete in the final selection test, that will take place in Yaoundé. So as to get the best to be trained by the lead football training technicians.
