Real Football Academy edged an enterprising Best Stars Under-14 side by 1-0 in the lunch time fixture to claim the trophy in that category. The win meant they succeed EFBC Under-14 who were champions of last year’s edition of the competition.

In the Under-16 final, it took penalty shoot outs to separate Dauphine Academy and Galatique of Douala. Both sides finished regulation time on a 1-1 situation, but Dauphine were more clinical in the shootout, beating their city rivals by 4-3 to end a brilliant week in the competition with a trophy.

In the U-18 category, EFBC scored in either half to outclass Best Stars Academy in the dramatic final.

Goals from Ajuah Jordan and tournament most valuable player Aboubakar in added time of each half was enough to help coach Ojong Oben’s team retain the trophy they won last year.

At the end of the event flagbearer Maurice Tigmeni thanked the participants and the Cameroon football federation for their efforts throughout the event while calling on others to join the competition next year.

Nono Flaubert who oversees the involvement of EFBC in the event was also visibly satisfied with his institution’s output though this time around they only played in one final.

The organizing committee handed out over 25 prizes to the different Athletes and participating institutions including Diarra Academy as they fair team in the U-14 category.

Left-back Aboubakar Nagida who starred in the tournament was deservedly handed the player of the tournament prize for the U-18 category.

The full-back was crucial in his club’s running to yet another success.

The next edition of the December international tournament comes up next December in Limbe but before then foreign scouts who took note readymade talents this 2022 will have tried to take them abroad as in the case of Didier Lamkel Ze, Ignatius Ganago, Mughe Regis, Aboubakar Dalbai, Nkamga Jean Pierre and Carlos Baleba whose breakthrough came through this event.
