Qatar 2022: Senegal bows out to England in clash of Lions

Three Lions of England earned a 3-0 win against Africa Champions, Teranga Lions of Senegal in the Round of 16 at Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup on Sunday.

Goals from Jordan Henderson, Harry Kane, and Bukayo Saka ensured England continued its dominance over African teams on the global stage.

Jude Bellingham in the 38th minute showed great vision to find Jordan Henderson with a cheeky pass inside the box.

The first-time shot from the Liverpool player was precise and sailed low into the middle of the goal for England’s opener.

In the additional minutes of the first half, the Three Lions doubled its lead.

Phil Foden displayed great vision and sent a pass to Harry Kane who showed brilliant composure inside the box to bury the ball into the back of the net.

Phil Foden once again in the 57th minute produced a sweet pass and picked out Bukayo Saka inside the box.

Saka quickly took a shot which went inside the middle of the net.

England will face holders, France in the quarter-final after the latter defeated Poland 3-1.

Senegal bowed out of the World Cup with two wins and two defeats.
