The quartet of Mali, Ghana, Benin Republic, and Namibia are through to the second round of Paris 2024 Women’s Football Olympic Qualifiers at the end of the first round return leg games.
Mali played out a 2-2 draw with Burkina Faso but progressed 3-2 on aggregate after a dramatic return leg.
Aïssata Traoré and Coulouba Sogoro scored for the host while Balkissa Sawadogo converted two goals for Burkina Faso.
Mali will face Zambia in the second round.
In another match, Ghana thrashed Guinea 4-0 thanks to goals from Evelyn Badu (brace), Priscilla Abdueba, and Firdaus Yakubu to secure a 7-0 win on aggregate and set up a second-round clash with Benin Republic.
Benin Republic on its part edged Guinea Bissau 3-2 to also book a place in the Second Round after a 5-4 win on aggregate.
Namibia stunned two-time African champions, Equatorial played after a goalless draw in the return leg to set up a Second Round clash against Morocco.
