Zambian Premier League side Nchanga Rangers FC have completed the signing of interesting Cameroonian duo Ikpeme Stephan Aniekan and Ygor Rincesse Tsolefack.
The Konkola Copper mine PLC sponsored announced they had reached an agreement to bring in midfielder, Ikpeme from Fovu of Baham while 21-year-old defender Tsolefack walks through the doors from APEJES of Mfou.
The players have penned two-year contract each and are expected to rejuvenate the squad in reconstruction ahead of the new season.
“Nchanga Rangers Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of two Cameroonian junior international players, Ikpeme Stephan Aniekan and
Ygor Rincesse Tsolefack, to bolster its squad ahead of the 2024/2025 FAZ Super
League season,” the club announced.
Reacting to the deal, President Shapi Schachinda revealed the purpose of the deals.
“The inclusion of the two Cameroonian players is part of our management and technical bench’s strategy to create some depth in the team, without making many changes as we all understand that we have
an exciting team of mainly young players. We aim to prepare the team adequately and fill in the gaps that the technical bench needs to be solidified.”
Ikpeme,21, who has represented Cameroon at U-20 and U23 categories was captain of Fovu of Baham last season after helping them win the 2023 Cup of Cameroon title.
Tsolefack and dead ball specialist, Ikpeme will add to the growing community of Cameroonian footballers plying their trade in Zambia.
