The Cameroon Football Federation has officially confirmed Valentine Nguele as the new head coach of the Indomitable Lionesses, replacing Jean Baptiste Bisseck at the helm of the senior women’s national team.

Nguele, who is currently under contract with FC Ebolowa Filles, had been serving in an interim capacity in recent months and has now been handed the role on a permanent basis. Her appointment brings an end to months of uncertainty surrounding the technical bench of the seven-time African champions.

A holder of the prestigious CAF A Coaching Licence, Nguele has earned widespread recognition for her work in Cameroon’s domestic women’s football. Her achievements with FC Ebolowa Filles and her experience during her interim spell with the national team convinced the federation to entrust her with the position permanently.

She succeeds Jean Baptiste Bisseck, who previously guided the Indomitable Lionesses during recent campaigns. The appointment signals the beginning of a new era for the national team as Cameroon seeks to regain its status among the continent’s leading forces.

Nguele’s promotion is also viewed as a strong endorsement of local coaching expertise and women’s leadership in football. The experienced tactician will now focus on preparing the Indomitable Lionesses for upcoming international assignments while continuing to build a competitive squad capable of returning Cameroon to the summit of African women’s football.
