OFFICIAL: Michael Ngadeu moves to China

Thursday, March 30 – Cameroonian defender Michael Ngadeu Ngadjui, has secured a move to ambitious Chinese top-flight championship side Beijing Guoan on a two-year-deal.

Ngadeu,32, switch from Belgian franchise KAA Gent where he spent four years and won the Belgian cup among other personal accolades.

Ngadeu is the 16th new recruit captured by the club this window, following the track of Hao Fang, Liyu Yang and Boxuan Feng all brought in to make available a stronger squad for coach Stanley Menzo ahead of the new season.

The Chinese club is assembling a better squad for the new season, having finished seventh in the previous season.

Ngadeu joined Gent in 2019 from Slavia Prague, he has gone on to make 176 appearances for the club, scoring 11 goals in all competitions.

The Cameroon international who won 54 caps was the top scorer for his country when they won the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations against all odds.

Ngadeu arrives China with huge experience, having featured at three AFCON tournaments and the 2017 FIFA confederations cup with the Indomitable Lions.
