The Amazons of Lafia, Nasarawa State are placed second in Group B of the League.

This is how they got there:

WEEK 1:
Nassrawa Amazons played Edo Queens FC and the game ended 1-0 in favour of Nasarawa Amazons FC with Ayatsea Hembafan scoring the lone goal in the 54th minute of the game.

WEEK 2:
In week two of the Nwfl23 Nasarawa Amazons FC were away to FC Robo Queens of Lagos on the 7th day of December 2022 and the team played a goalless draw in that game.
All players were happy even without the win.

WEEK 3:
Nasarawa Amazons FC welcomed Ibom Angels of Uyo to their adopted home at the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi where the Amazons wallop their visitors with four goals with no reply.

The Amazons started scoring late in that game with the opening goal coming in the 36th minute of the game from Eyebohria Winifred, then Tarnum Dooshima, scored in the 51st and 67th minutes of the game while Okoronkwo Amarachi’s 90th minutes’ goal made it 4-0 for the Amazons.

WEEK 4:
Nasarawa Amazons were bye in week four of the Nwfl23 as in each group are seven teams so each team will be on bye in a week as all teams will play six games for each round.

WEEK 5:
Nasarawa Amazons were home again to Confluence Queens of Lokoja and the game was a crunchy one which didn’t favour the home team as Nasarawa Amazons lost to the Queens of Lokoja at home in a 2-3 with Nasarawa Amazon’s goals coming from Aweda Titilayo and the Queen’s goals from Chioma Olise who scored twice and Mary finished the scoring for the Queens.

WEEK 6:
Nasarawa Amazons traveled to Atiku Abubakar stadium, in Fufore Yola, Adamawa state as they were hosted by Adamawa Queens of Yola. It was a controversial game as the Queens scored a penalty goal to win in the 94th minute from the spot.

WEEK 7:
Nasarawa Amazons FC were home as they busted Abia Angels of Aba in the Nwfl23 match day 7, the game started and in no time the Angels scored an early goal putting the Amazons players in tension but they always fight back in every situation and that was what they did as Ojiyovwi Kesiena scored an equaliser in the 37th minutes of the game as the game went into the first half with one goal a piece.

But when the game resumed the Amazons doing what they know how to do best forced the Angels to play according to their dictates and that was how the game was going but no goal until a substitute was made bringing in Sunday Abigail who later scored for the Amazons in the 90th minutes of the game as Nasarawa Amazons FC won the game 2-1.

The mid-seasons break is has been on and many teams are on break but Nasarawa Amazons FC have resumed training in preparation for the resumption of the second round where Nasarawa Amazons have four away games to play and are very crucial marches but with early preparation, we know they will pick up always points by the Grace of God and also hard work.

Nasarawa Amazons will play their first two games away in the second round first visiting Aba as they play Abia Angels and second will travel to Benin city as they are hosted by Edo Queens.
