Bayelsa United forward Robert Mizo says he is happy to be voted as the winner of the NPFL League Bloggers award for the month of September/October.
Mizo has been in phenomenal form for Bayelsa United since the commencement of the season scoring seven goals in six matches.
The forward who hails from Imiringi in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State received the revered NPFL award for the first time this season with the latest goal coming yesterday at Heartland FC.
Mizo clinched the award ahead of his closest contender Sikiru Alimi of Remo Stars, Michael Olalusi of Sunshine Stars, Sporting of Lagos striker Jonathan Alukwu.
An elated Mizo in an interview with Bayelsa United Media, said he was humbled to be voted as League Bloggers player of the month award for the first time, stating that the award was a testament of continuous hard work.
While appreciating the almighty God for the award, he thanked his teammates, coaching crew, management of Bayelsa United and supporters of the club for the endless support.
He dedicated the award to his dad Mr. Aroanyaziba Robert who celebrated his birthday the same day he was announced winner of the League Bloggers award.
