The mortal remains of amputee footballer Nkam Elvis will be laid to rest this Friday, February 17, 2023, in his family compound in Pinyin-Santa sub-division, northwest region of Cameroon.
The wake has been held on Thursdays in Bamenda, and his corpse is expected to officially journey to the world beyond on Friday after the last rites are performed.
“Vishow,” as he is fondly called, is one of the victims of the 7.8-magnitude earthquake that struck Turkey on February 5, 2023.
The former Abakwa Boys AFC player who left the country last December, healthy and alive, unfortunately returned to his motherland in a casket on Valentine’s Day.
His demise leaves a huge gap in the heart of amputee football in Cameroon, with just good memories left to remember him.
