Nigeria’s Rivers welcome ‘kings men’ ahead of Yanga bout

Rivers United FC of Nigeria have midfielder Morice Chukwu and forward Joseph Onoja at their disposable for this weekend’s crucial CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final return-leg game against Young Africans aka Yanga SC of Tanzania.

The duo missed the first-leg game last weekend in Uyo which some say accounted for the comfortable 2-0 win for their Tanzanian champions against their Nigerian counterparts.

Chukwu missed the game because he was serving a one match suspension, while Onoja was ill and Paul Acquah suffering from an injury he has fail to deal with before the trip to Dar Es Salaam.

Coach Fatai Osho thus have two of the men in the Rivers run this term as he heads to the home of the Tanzanian champions with hopes of turning things around against a side noted for their massive home following.

The Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar Es Salaam will host the decisive game in which Rivers are condemned to win by a more than two-goal margin to advance to the semis.
