Officials of Yong Sports Academy of Bamenda (YOSA) have taken back their plans not to attend their MTN Elite One championship game against APEJES of Mfou this Sunday in Mbouda.

Grapevine sources have it that following a series of meetings in the past few hours, supporters of the club and some influential Elites have caused the club’s management to review its position of not attending home games in the West Region of the country.

Some weeks ago, the President of the team addressed a letter of observation and complain to the Prime Minister and Head of Government Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute saying that their home matches should be played in Bamenda at the Yong Sports Academy stadium.

CTFP, FECAFOOT President, North West governor, Territorial Administration minister, Minister of Special Duties at the Presidency of the Republic amongst others were all copied in the letter.

Following recent interventions, the players and staff of the team gather at the Veterinary junction in Bamenda this Sunday morning before heading for Mbouda for the game.

Yong Sports Academy of Bamenda currently have eight points and are seventh in Pool B going into their relegation scrap contest against APEJES of Mfou topping the League standings from the bottom.
