Cameroonian international Faris Moumbagna is set to join Olympique de Marseille in the January transfer window.
The deal, according to many sources, is worth €8 million and Moumbagna will sign a four-and-a-half-year contract with the French club.
Moumbagna is a versatile forward who can play as a striker, a winger or a second striker. He scored 18 goals and provided eight assists in 36 league games for Bodø/Glimt last season, helping them finish second in the league behind Rosenborg.
He is currently in Côte d’Ivoire for his first Africa Cup of Nations. The 24-year-old made an appearance for Cameroon against Guinea at the Charles Konan Banny Stadium.
Marseille, who are seventh in Ligue 1, are looking to strengthen their attack under coach Gennaro Gattuso, who prefers a two-striker system. Moumbagna will compete with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Vitinha, Iliman Ndiaye and Joaquín Correa for a place in the starting line-up.
He is the third signing for Marseille this winter, after midfielder Jean Onana and left-back Ulisses Garcia.
