Mbeumo at it again as Bees sting Liverpool out of title race

Cameroon  international Bryan Mbeumo stunk the third for bees on a night when the red Merseyside saw their champions league hopes going down the drain.

Mbeumo at the 84th minute sent a beauty pass Alisson liking Liverpool’s hopes of getting the game to equal terms.

Alcantara lost possession and Norgaard picked up the ball and sent a long through ball to Mbeumo who was left only with Konate and Alisson to deliver. Konate not stable enough saw the Cameroonian strike pass Alisson making it 3-1 in favor of the bees.

A first half filled with goals both allowed and disallowed saw the scoreboard read 2-0 at break.

Chamberlain sent a message of hope to the fans of Liverpool as he called back one just few minutes into the second half.

A long search for the second in the second half saw two vital goal changes wasted by Nunez but the wound got deepened by Mbeumo’s stellar sting.

The absence of Brentford’s goal poacher Ivan Toney due to injury didn’t hit hard as Ibrahima Konate’s own goal and strikes from Yoane Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo delivered new year points for the bees.

Mbeumo now boasts of 4goals and one assist for Brentford this season as they sit 7th on the table after 18games.
