Former PWD Bamenda and Dynamo of Douala forward Leonel Christian Ateba has been unveiled at USM Alger in the Algerian top flight.

The forward was officially presented Friday February 9, 2023, as one of the four winter signings, before joining his first training session with the recent winners of the African Super Cup.

Ateba could make his debut in the 16th round of the championship on Sunday against Paradou, which is in fourth place with a better goal difference but the same number of points with USM Alger in fifth.

Ateba signed a two and a half year deal with USM Alger for a transfer fee of 300,000 euros.

Since becoming an international player in November 2023, Leonel Ateba has made just one appearance for the Indomitable Lions, in a one all draw against Libya during the second round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
