Cameroonian forward Didier Lamkel Ze made an explosive debut for Fatih Karagümrük, scoring the decisive goal in a thrilling 3-2 victory over Ankaragücü on September 15, 2024.
The former Mets player found the net in the 82nd minute, sealing the win for the hosts in matchday five of the Turkish second division.
The match started with Wesley Moraes putting Fatih Karagümrük ahead just four minutes in, and he doubled the lead shortly after, giving the host a promising start.
However, Ankaragücü fought back in the second half. Substitute Riccardo Saponara pulled one back for the visitors at the 64th minute, before Lamkel Ze’s crucial strike extended the host’s momentum.
Ankaragücü’s Renaldo Cephas scored two minutes later, but it proved insufficient for the visitors to salvage a point.
This marks Lamkel Ze’s first goal for Fatih, having joined the club just weeks after leaving Sakaryaspor. With this victory, Fatih Karagümrük climbs to 14th place in the standings with six points, finally securing their first win of the season following three draws and a loss. They will next face Şanlıurfaspor on September 23, 2024.
