The Kenya U17 women’s national team, Junior Starlets, will face Morocco U17 in two high-profile friendly matches as part of their preparations for the upcoming third and final round of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers.

These friendlies are scheduled to take place next month, with the first test coming on Friday, April 4th, 2025 and the final one three days later in the city of Rabat.

Head Coach Mildred Cheche stressed the importance of these upcoming games as the team gears up for Cameroon who eliminated regional neighbors Ethiopia in the previous round.

“These matches will give us a perfect chance to assess our readiness and expose the girls to top-level competition,” she said.

The East African side on mission to secure a back to back appearance at World Cup finals, confront Cameroon in a decisive two legged affair.

The first leg is set for Sunday, April 20, 2025 at Nyayo Stadium, with the return leg slated for Friday, April 25, 2025 at Stade Olembe. The aggregate winner will secure a spot at the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World in Morocco from October 17-November 8, 2025.
