Joseph Antoine Bell – ONIES Chairman Installed

Former Cameroon football legend, Joseph Antoine Bell, has this Wednesday February 23, been installed to his newly earned position as Coordinator of sporting infrastructures in Cameroon.

“It is an honored to have been chosen as trusted with this responsibility. There’s no better way to feel than happy when someone has confidence in you.”

“I am very happy to have been chosen but I’m also by very conscious of the responsibilities that lies ahead. Being myself and act with my experience alone is enough to lessen the burden and deliver as expected”. Antoine Bell continued.

The former Indomitable Lion of Cameroon’s goalkeeper, was on February 6, 2023, appointed Board chair of the Cameroon National office of infrastructures and Sports Equipments; a newly created commission by the Head of state, H.E Paul Biya.

At 68, Bell takes charge of this responsibility after making his name as one of the best goalkeeper the nation has ever produced.

Antoine Bell is certain the President set up this committee to satisfy the worries of the sports loving population of Cameroon.

“The President is well aware of what worries you all and so his decree to put in place this commission is to take care of your worries and ensure at least some satisfactory results. Our role now is to make this come to fruition” he mentioned to the press after the event.

His appointment and installation comes at a time the country has m as e huge investment in its sporting infrastructures in the last in the past few years.

He will be accompanied by pioneer administrator, Mr Ewane Felix and pioneer deputy administrator of the institution, Mme Ekombe Wanki Pascaline.
