JKT Queens sealed the final day with a 7-2 massive victory over Mkwawa to clinch the 2022/23 Serengeti Lite Women’s premier league championship on Wednesday evening.
The army side bag their third league title unbeaten to halt Simba Queens quest for a fourth successive league title who had dominated over the past years.
JKT , finished on 46 points dethroning second placed Simba Queens by one point.
Tiger Queens and Mkwawa Queens were the two relegated sides on the final day.
JKT will represent Tanzania at the CAF Wowen’s Champions league Zonal Qualifiers slated later this year.
For the first time ,Simba will miss out on the zonal qualifiers having participated in all the past two editions.
Commercial Bank ( Ethiopia) ,Buja Queens ( Burundi ) ,New Generation (Zanzibar) ,AS Kigali ( Rwanda ) , Kampala Queens ( Uganda) are the other leagues champions from the East Africa Region.
