Mexican side, Monterrey has signed South African forward, Jermaine Seoposenwe, who as of this Wednesday becomes a new player of the albiazul team for the 2023 Opening Tournament.
Jermaine, 29, began her football career at Santos Ladies FC in South Africa and continued his career at UWC Ladies in South Africa; Gintra Universitetas, from Lithuania; Real Betis, from Spain; and Sporting Club Braga, from Portugal, where she was League and Cup champion.
In 2022, she moved to FC Juárez of the BBVA MX Women’s League. With the border team, Seoposenwe scored the fastest goal in the history of the BBVA MX Women’s League, scoring after 8 seconds in the FC Juárez vs. Women’s Necaxa of matchday 14 of the 2022 Opening Tournament.
With the South African Women’s National Team, Jermaine won the 2022 African Cup of Nations championship (WAFCON), in addition to having participated in the 2012 London and Rio 2016 Olympic Games, and in the 2019 France Women’s World Cup.
Jermaine signed a two-year contract with the Monterrey team.
