ISOHSA’s Ivan Yatchet targets improvement despite great start

Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) of Limbe midfielder Ivan Berthault Yatchet says he is fully focused on improving his performances despite making a flying start to life in the MTN Elite Two championship.

The 19-year-old has enjoyed a superb beginning to life back in the second tier championship – providing two assists in three starts for the Elite Two newcomers, helping them to stay around the submit after three matches which he started.

Yatchet who joined the club in June from Sims of Bafoussam helped them conquer during the 2023 national interpools and has taken that form into the new season.

Despite the strong start, the midfielder has told kick442.com that he wants to keep getting better.

“I am on a good run at the moment and obviously I want to try to keep making goals and also try to score. I will keep working to put in the good performances, it is fine,” he told kick442.com.

Despite the hectic start to the new season, Yatchet says he is happy and feels his performances will improve even further once he has full knowledge about the championship.

“I am happy, and that is the most important thing for me. In the end, there are a lot of things to do and I need to do. In the next few weeks, when everything is settled in terms of my knowledge of the championship, I will maybe produce some better performances,” he added.

The midfielder played in Mbeng Joel’s first goal for ISOHSA in the 3-0 win against Leopard Sportif last weekend, but before then he had assisted Arrey Jefta on match day one.

Ivan input this season will be key for ISOHSA’s quest to avoid the drop come the end of the season.

ISOHSA with seven points from a possible nine this season will host Rangers of Bafut this Wednesday, November 8 at the Limbe Centenary stadium in a crunch match day four fixture of the 2023/24 MTN Elite Two championship.
