Authentic Ladies FC have appointed former Awa Filles FC and Caiman Douala boss Hassan Balla as their new head coach.

The U-20 Lionesses deputy,45, begins his new role this September 9, 2023 on a two-year contract, with an option of a further year.

Interim boss Félix Fotso took Authentic to 5th position finish last season in the Guinness Super League – their highest finish since their ascension to the Guinness Super League.

“Hassan is a great coach with an outstanding track record. We are all looking forward to having him on board,” president Ballock John said while pushing for his capture a few months back.

Hassan is Authentic’s third permanent head trsimer in three years following the sacking of Fagnia Fagnia and his predecessor in the past two seasons.

The winner of two Guinness Super League titles in five years as coach of Awa returns to Douala, where he won the championship back in 2013 as head coach of eternal rivals Caiman Filles of Douala.

Having started his managerial career over a decade ago, ‘Roi de herbes’ as he is fondly known is a recognized winner in women’s football.

Captain Tim Shalom and her mates will make a new demanding and outstanding bos to look up to when the new season gets underway in few months.
