Hanoi FC fails despite Joel Tagueu’s brace

29-year-old Cameroon international striker, Diederrick Joel Tagueu Tadjo and Hanoi FC suffered a 4-2 trashing,against Pohang Steelers, in the opening game counting for the Asian Champions League Cup.

The former Cameroonian under-20 goal poacher managed, to hit a brace for Hanoi FC, despite their difficult defeat.

Tagueu had a stint with the Saudi Pro-league Al Hazm, as a free agent. After putting up an average performance in the Saudi Arabian League, he then move to the Portuguese side Maritimo,where he managed to score one goal, in eighteen games.

The Nkongsamba native, who was ruled out of the Indomitable Lions squad, in 2019 for a heart defect, On 11 September 2023, signed for a transfer fee of €800,000.
