Haiti knock Senegal out of World Cup qualification

Haiti women’s national team defeated African opposition, Senegal 4-0 in the opening match of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup Playoff Tournament.

Roselord Borgella’s brace lifted Haiti to a comfortable win over the West African side.

Kethna Louis gave Haiti the lead in the 45th minute of play at the North Harbour Stadium, Auckland, New Zealand.

Nerilia Mondesir doubled the Haitian lead ten minutes into the second half.

Borgella increased her side’s lead to three in the 64th minute.

Two minutes later, she made it 4-0 to end the contest.

Haiti will next face Chile with the winner qualifying for the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
