GSL J6: FC Ebolowa and Lékié win, FAP and Dja see red, Eding gets back to winning ways

The highlight of match day 6 was the match between FC Ebolowa and Eclair FF of Sa’a, which attracted a good crowd and a fine performance from both teams. In Annex 1 of the Stade Omnisport, the southern club beat the central club 3-1. All the goals were scored in the first half.

Bernadette Meyegue had already scored twice in the first quarter, in the 9th and 14th minutes respectively. Her team-mate Flora Kameni added another in the 30th minute. Éclair, for their part, broke through in the 42nd minute thanks to Ernestine Heutchou, who scored her 4th goal.

Caïman Girls lose 1-2 to Louves Minproff

Caiman Filles VS Louves Minproff was the second game in Douala at the Mbappe Leppé stadium. The first half was barren of goals but full of chances that were not converted by either side. It was not until the second half that Louves opened the scoring, only to be pegged back by Caiman and finally win 2-1 at the final whistle. The goals came from Monkam for Caïman Filles and Vanessa Noëlle Djomo and Elisabeth Siliki for Louves Minproff. On Matchday 7, Lékié FF host Caïman Filles, while Louves Minproff face Éclair FF from Sa’a.

Lékié FF ruthless against Déjà Sports Academy from Meyomessala 4-1

The first match in Annexe 1 of the Stade Omnisports, Déjà Sports Academy de Meyomessala VS Lékié FF was the most prolific of the D-6, with 5 goals scored. For their 7th outing, Lékié FF will face Caïman and Dja Sports Academy from Meyomessala will meet the double champions of editions 1 and 2 of the Guinness Super League, AS Awa.

Eding score their second win of the season against Ita Mbong 1-0

Last but not least, Eding Football Filles came out on top in the first leg of this season after 4 consecutive defeats. The club from the Lékié department returned to winning ways after their first victory, 2-1 against AS Fortuna on the opening day. Emmanuelle Assako’s superb pass from Naomie Essame gave Eding a 1-0 win over Itambong. Eding are now 11th on 6 points and will face Authentic Ladies FC of Douala, in 4th place on 11 points. For their part, Ita Mbong FC of Nkambe, one of the promoted teams, will meet FC Ebolowa, the current season’s leaders.

AS Awa Vs AS Fortuna match has been interrupted

AS Awa VS AS Fortuna was the only match without a final result on Match day 6 of the Guinness Super League. The match was not played to the end because As Fortuna players and management refused to continue. AS Fortuna refused to accept the referee’s decision to award a penalty to AS Awa in the 62nd minute. After more than 20 minutes of exchanges and negotiations, the referee decided to stop the match. Pending the decision of the homologation committee, the match remains suspended.
