Women’s Cup: Kawempe thump giants Kampala Queens 5-1

Kawempe Muslim outclassed recently crowned champions Kampala Queens in a 5-1 scoreline to end their dream for a domestic double on Sunday morning.

The anticipated quarter-final match was played at Kampala Queens home ground in Kabojja.

The goals for visitors came from Phionah Nabulime ,Agnes Nabukenya ,Shakira Nyinagahirwa ,Allen Nassazi and captain Aisha Nantongo while Lukiya scored the only consolation for the hosts.

The shocking result leaves a lot at hand in the palace.

The defeat today ended the Kampala Queens unbeaten run of 33 games.

The Queens of Soccer last defeat was last year in February loosing to the same opponent 2#0 in a league fixture at the same ground.

Kampala Queens now shifts focus to the league where they are still Unbeaten after 14 games.

Kawempe ,looks a decent side after the resumption of the second round.The youthful side hasn’t lost any game since the start of the year and currently sit second in the league.

They become the second side to book a place in the Semi-finals alongside She Maroons who edged Olila on Saturday.
