Bafmeng United Football Academy from the North West region has qualified for the elite two championship after their brilliant 2#1 victory against Volcan FC of Noun.
When the starting XI of Bafmeng United was made public, many onlookers were surprised to see Sigfrid Baam Kidio starting at the heart of Bafmeng United’s three man defense. Sigfrid Kidio Baam was making his very first start for Bafmeng United in the competition. Starting in place of Anagho Aku Eugene who sat on the bench for the first time.
Starting in the heart of the three man defense, Sigfrid Baam Kidio made some brilliant interceptions and won 98% of his duels.
Speaking to kick442 after the match, coach Soh Simplis described him as a joker.
“He wasn’t fit when we came here. I used all our time here to prepare him for the semi finals and you have seen his performance. He was my joker”, he said.
The young lad benefited from the experience of Hamlet Godson and the no nonsense Bengal Parker Veranso and that helped him to play without any pressure.
Born in 2005, the young lad is ready to experience a new phase in his career in the elite two championship.
