Officials Arrive DR Congo for first-ever UNIFFAC U20 Fatshi Cup

Match officials selected for the maiden edition of the UNIFFAC U20 Fatshi Cup tournament to start this Saturday in the DR Congo are already in the country.

Cameroonian FIFA referees Abdel Mefire, Guimbang Aline and their peers retained for the four-nations competition arrived at Kinshasa on Tuesday, June 27 and immediately moved to their base.

The tournament which will include Gabon, DR Congo, Central Africa Republic and Congo Republic have officials drawn from across the zone.

Hosts DR Congo will open the event on Saturday with an exciting clash against Congo Republic while Gabon faces Central Africa Republic in the other fixture.

The competition will run from July 1 -7 at the Stade de Martyrs in Kinshasa DR Congo. The nation with maximum points after the group stage will be crowned zonal U20 champions and winners of the Fatshi Cup.

This edition of the tournament marks the return of the U20 event in UNIFFAC for the first time since 2020, when it was staged in Equatorial Guinea and won by Christophe Ousmanou’s Cameroon.
