The Cameroon Youth Football League (CYFL) is set
to launch on January 3, 2025, at the Annex 1 Omnisports Stadium in Yaoundé.
The CYFL will feature teams from various regions, competing in different age categories, primarily focusing on U15 and U17 players.
Yaounde as the hosting venue comes after previous editions were launched in the littoral and west regions respectively
The league is organized by the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) and is seen as a crucial step in rebuilding and strengthening the foundations of Cameroonian football. The initiative is expected to involve over 15,000 licensed players from 800 clubs across 50 divisions
Last season’s champions, CFF of Garoua and Achico FC of Bamenda, will be celebrated as they return to defend their titles.
This league aims to nurture young football talent across the country, providing a structured platform for youth players to showcase their skills and develop their potential.
The launch ceremony will begin at 10 AM with stadium doors opening, followed by animations and the arrival of dignitaries, including FECAFOOT officials and local authorities.
The program includes a performance of the national anthem, a team parade, and matches for both U15 and U17 categories.
