Cameroon international Nana Sidoine could soon have African football legend Yaya Touré as his new coach at ŠK Slovan Bratislava.
The Slovak champions are reportedly in talks with the former Manchester City and FC Barcelona midfielder over the vacant managerial position following the expected departure of Vladimír Weiss Sr..
Touré is considered one of the serious candidates for the role, although former Croatia international Igor Bišćan is currently believed to be the leading contender.
For Nana Sidoine, the arrival of Touré would represent a major boost as the Cameroonian defender continues his development at one of Eastern Europe’s top clubs. Slovan Bratislava recently clinched another Slovak league title and are set to compete in next season’s UEFA Champions League qualifiers.
Touré, still in the early stages of his coaching career, has continued to attract attention across Europe thanks to his growing experience on the bench and his iconic status as one of Africa’s greatest ever footballers.
