The Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT, has released the full schedule for the MTN Elite Two playoffs, with all matches set for Yaoundé as six teams chase promotion and eight others fight to avoid relegation.
Playoffs Up: One Ticket to Elite One on the Line
The promotion mini-league kicks off Tuesday, June 9, 2026, featuring the six top finishers from the regular season. In a round-robin format, each team will face the others once over four days.
Opening day clashes:
– * Les Astres de Douala vs Apejes de Mfou
– * Atlantic FC de Kribi vs Kumba City FC
– * Avion Academy de Yaoundé vs Union Sportive d’Abong-Mbang
Only the team that finishes top will earn automatic promotion to MTN Elite One. The runner-up will enter a decisive barrage against the 13th-placed Elite One side for a final chance at top-flight football.
Playoffs Down: Survival Fight Begins June 6
The relegation playoffs start two days earlier, on Saturday, June 6, with eight teams battling to retain their Elite Two status.
Day 1 fixtures:
– *AS FAP of Yaoundé vs Bafmeng United FC
– *Yaoundé II vs Sable de Batié
– *Tonnerre Kalara Club vs Union Sportive de Douala
– *Nkogentundjia FC vs Bamboutos FC de Mbouda
At the end of the mini-tournament, the five highest-placed teams will stay in MTN Elite Two. The bottom three will drop to the Regional League for next season.
All playoff matches will be staged in Yaoundé, setting up two weeks of high-stakes football to close out the 2025/26 campaign.
