The Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) has launched ticket sales for the highly anticipated Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Cameroon and Namibia, set to kick off on Saturday, September 7, at 5 PM in Japoma.
Ticket prices are set at FCFA 2,000 for regular, FCFA 5,000 for VIP, and FCFA 50,000 for VVIP. Fans can purchase tickets exclusively through the Maxit platform by Orange Cameroon, official sponsor of the national team, with additional service fees of FCFA 100, 200, and 500.
This match marks the opening round of qualifiers. Historically, both teams are familiar foes, with Cameroon seeking redemption after a 2-1 defeat to Namibia in the 2023 qualifiers. The last encounter at home ended in a 1-1 draw in Yaoundé, featuring goals from Peter Shalulile and Olivier Kemen.
Cameroon faces injury challenges, notably losing Faris Moumbagna to a severe knee injury, while Moumi Ngamaleu is also sidelined.
Despite these setbacks, coach Marc Brys has a strong squad, including Bryan Mbeumo, who recently scored for Brentford, and Andre Onana, who kept a clean sheet for Manchester United.
The Indomitable Lions will convene for training starting September 1, with the final squad announcement expected soon.
