Elite One: Ngufor Terence’ brace rescues a point for PWD against Gazelle

Ngufor Terence Ambe scored a brace against Gazelle FA of Garoua to help PWD Bamenda pick up a point.

The former Hilltop Strikers of Bamendakwe attacker put up a man of the match performance and his two goals help PWD to record a two all draw.

After playing a zero all tie in the first half of the match, PWD Bamenda and Gazelle FA went all out for the points in the second half.

It was the visitors from Garoua that scored first. Four minutes into the second half, experienced Yougouda Kada opened scores for Gazelle.

The goal forced PWD Bamenda to open up play and it paid off at the 74th minute of play when Ngufor Terence Ambe equalized for the Abakwa Boys.

PWD then had a penalty after Ngufor Terence was fouled in the penalty area. Nyaba Brain stepped up and missed the penalty.

Minutes later, Dave Tessa gave Gazelle the lead from the penalty spot.

With two minutes to the end of the match, Ngufor Terence Ambe scored again to equalize for PWD Bamenda.

Ngufor Terence has now scored three goals in the championship this season with all three goals coming in the last two matches.

The draw means that PWD Bamenda now have 10 points after 9 matches while Gazelle FA have 11 points after 9 matches played.
